9 Apple iOS 5 Features That Matter

With the new iPhone 4S will go on sale in two days, Apple on Wednesday released the IOS 5, the latest version of its mobile operating system for iPhone, IPAD, IPod and communication devices. In addition, the company released Mac OS X 10.7.2, an update that includes support for Safari 5.1.1 and iCloud, which is also open for business on Wednesday.
5 IOS is particularly important for Apple, as it relates to areas where the IOS devices behind Android, such as wireless synchronization and updates, and because it helps to use the service iCloud from Apple, the key strategic initiatives and major investments for the company.
Apple said IOS 5 includes over 200 new features. The nine issue.
Software updates over the Wi-Fi.
Android users have long enjoyed wirelessly synchronize and update the software. Apple, had to catch up, and, finally, there is. You must connect your device to your computer IOS with the cable serves only to remind users how IOS, limiting them. Good riddance.
Improve the camera software
Now you can run the iPhone / IPod Touch fourth-generation camera, double-clicking the home. And you can take a picture using the volume up button. Score one for simplicity. The software update also adds additional grid lines to help frame shots, pinch to zoom, support for the preview, the ability to hit the camera roll on the preview screen and the ability to click and hold to lock focus and exposure. (IPad 2 and IPod Touch 4th generation only support the exposure lock and focus lock is not.)
iCloud support
Although iCloud is not well suited for backing up large amounts of data - Apple only offers up to 50 GB - users with a modest number of images and multimedia files to find the service convenient way to make their files available to all of its IOS and Mac OS X Lion devices. Of course, this is better than the old method - a synchronization cable to ITunes and drag and drop to copy files from ITunes to your desktop.
IMessage
On the IMessage, you can send an unlimited number of text messages at no cost except your time to other IOS 5 users. Best of all, you do not have to change your text habits - IMessage service in Messaging application.

Notifications
The system of Push Notification, who arrived in IOS 3, has been significantly improved. Instead, intrusive modal dialog boxes that are used to pop up notifications appear briefly banners over the screen. Messages can be viewed in a notification center, accessible from any application, spending down from the top of the screen.
Reminders
Apple's version of the To-Do List is important because the reminders based on location and work through Ceske, Outlook, and iCloud. Thus, a reminder to stop by the drugstore on the way home will appear on your iPhone, as you walk into a pharmacy. Reminders can be set using the Siri, the new voice recognition software available in the upcoming iPhone from Apple 4S.
Twitter Integration
Now you can log in to twitter and tweet times from different applications, including cameras, maps, photos, Safari and YouTube. And fortunately, Apple has not made the existing Twitter clients superfluous.
Under the hood
Along with visible improvements in the mail from Apple and calendar applications, IOS, there are many new features in Cisco IOS 5, which are not always obvious. Many of these are related to any IOS devices interface with corporate IT systems. For example, IT administrators can disable the email forwarding to prevent the messages from the company sent to external accounts. They can also turn off the synchronization with iCloud or ITunes, thus limiting the replication of files on personal systems.
New Interfaces API
Apple represents 1,500 new API for developers that allow third party developers to use the IOS five improvements. So in the coming months, we expect to see a lot of applications that integrate with other services and iCloud Apple.
IOS 5 requires iPhone 3GS, 4 or 4S, IPod Touch 3rd or 4th generation, or any of the two models IPad released so far. It is available through Itunes.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5 release date

New video, including an early review of the new iPhone 4S and 5 will appear in the IOS YouTube.
Lucky few are now enjoying the new iPhone 4S (not the iPhone 5) 5 and IOS operating system. In fact, new videos demonstrating the new smartphone from Apple, iPhone 4S and preloaded operating system IOS 5, is now available in the popular video sharing site to Google YouTube. See all videos embedded below this post.
One of the best preview video posted this is my site then, quickly, and excellent video review of the new iPhone of Apple 4S. Joshua Topolsky According to the editor main web site, an 8-megapixel main camera, the new iPhone 4S "took some of the most beautiful, clear photos" from your mobile device, adding that if you plan to replace the point-and-shoot, iPhone 4S is an excellent replacement.
Apple has said during the iPhone 4S event on October 4 that one of the best features of iPhone 4S is its 8-megapixel camera.
Apple's Phil Schiller said: "iPhone has already surpassed four other cameras out there in the photo sites," while showing the most popular cameras flick list photo sharing site. Schiller said, "we set our sights on competing with many great point and shoot cameras."
Apple also claimed that the iPhone 4S seize new A5 dual-core chip. Features such as white balance, better, faster, photo capture, and less shaky video courtesy of 'video stabilization "feature. Apple also added that the iPhone 4S is the fastest camera with 1.1 second delay shooting, compared with 3,0 Motorola Droid Bionic + seconds in the delay and 2,2 II Samsung Galaxy S in the second delay.
Another video from Outware Mobile, testing a new application Siri, an exclusive new feature voice commands to the iPhone 4S. Apparently, the video shows that Siri does not rely on an English accent.
Macworld also has its iPhone 4S Siri application demos. Macworld tested the ability of the Siri to quickly show the weather forecast, the ability to play music, check out the nearest restaurant, and dictated by SMS, notes and other messaging services. However, MacWorld test showed that Siri is still in "beta", and not able to do some voice commands.
Siri is part of the IOS 5, but apparently there is Siri iPhone 4S exclusive feature. Rumor has it requires a dual-core chip Siri A5, so it's quite possible that IPad 2 (with new chip A5) will receive Siri in the near future (fingers crossed).
Speaking of IOS 5 new operating system update will arrive on Wednesday, October 12 (New York Time). To update your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, IPad 2, 3rd and 4th generation IPod Touch, you still need to connect to ITunes 10.5. Apple, has released a new version of ITunes on Tuesday.
New features IOS 5, a notification center dedicated to supporting the camera button, IMessage instant messaging applications, Twitter integration, PC for free, allowing 5-IOS device to update its operating system, wireless, and new service iCloud from Apple.

Nick Fairley on his Lions' debut

Lion’s rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley, 13th overall draft pick, has admitted that a few nerves before he made his debut in the season, 24-13 on Monday night victory over Chicago.

"Yes, I would say yes because he was the first one there," Farley said. "It was with mixed feelings: a tall, nervously. But once I got that first (play) in the direction of, the nerves were gone and it's time to ball."

Fairleigh barely saw the practice field because he broke his left leg on August 1. But he practiced for four consecutive days last week and said he got the green light to play after practicing on Sunday guide.

"He was healthy, and we prepared for a reason for him to play," coach Jim Schwartz."It's been a while that we waited so long to (see) that. He made some really good things in practice this week. Put your foot in the rear view mirror and got a good start."

Schwartz said Farley played an equivalent number of pictures for an exhibition game, which would have been in the sub-20 next door.

"I think I did well," said Farley. "There is always room for improvement. That's how I feel when I'm on the D-line. So basically I just watch the film, see what I did wrong, correct it and then come back next week and make plays ".

Defensive end Cliff Avril was impressed with Farley, who was credited with a hit back.

"Amazing", said Avril. "I watched him for a couple of plays when I was on the sideline. It's so much potential. Even after being with him for so long, he bounced back and a couple of pressure, playing well ahead of the game. It's just crazy to see how it going to get when he's healthy at 100% and was not thinking about what's going on around him. "

Boxing Day: As part of the circus-like atmosphere, Lviv was a boxing announcer Michael (Let's willing to rumble) Buffer to announce Lions starters on offense.

Lions receiver Nate Burleson out of the tunnel with boxing gloves on his neck. It is hardly coincidental.

"I have my ear to the street, man," Burleson said. "So I heard - a little bird told me that the buffer is going to make announcements. I shot straight to the sporting goods store and got some gloves. It's Monday night, man! You only get one of them, so I wanted to go out, do his work, and let everyone know that we are ready to fight. "

Lying lions, and to be specific, Lions fans have got to Chicago nine false start penalties.Ford Field was deafening when the bears were on offense.

"It was crazy", Burleson said. "False starts and the crowd was just getting into it. Looking at the stands and seeing no open seats, and then find out there's probably more people outside the stadium goes crazy. It was an incredible feeling and I'm glad to see that keep going."

Avril said volume started early and never ceased. After the sixth bear false start scoreboard read: "Lions fans, 6, 0 Bears!"

"They jumped offsides, I want to say five times during the first two series," Avril said."This crowd, of course, is the clutch, and we must keep it on all the time getting wins."

HANSON HITS 300: Kicker Jason Hanson became the first player in NFL history to play 300 games with the same team. Hanson, 41, is in his 20th season with the Lions. He hit 31-yard ball, converted two extra points and has 51 points, which tied for the league's leading scoring with New Orleans kicker John Kasay.

Detroit 24, Chicago 13: Prime time is Lions time

All of the Lions' first Monday Night Football appearance in a decade was special. The record crowd.'s Head splitting noise. And even more results.
At night, when ring announcer Michael Buffer has made pre-game show and the introduction of Barry Sanders served as an honorary captain, running back Jahvid Best delivered a knockout blow to the Bears, rushing for a career-high 163 yards to lead Lions for a 24-13 victory.
The best is only 12 times and scored on a 88-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter of Lions team that entered the game twenty-ninth in the NFL in rushing.
"I think it's kind of an example with Barry Sanders in the house, maybe a little wiped out," Lions coach Jim Schwartz. "Our run game is obviously up to our pass game, and I think that we want to work, but we also need some blasting work, like what we were missing. It is obvious that we had that today."
The best is never rushed for more than 78 yards in his career and went on Monday on the average only 3.2 yards per carry.
But along with its third quarter touchdown that gave the Lions lead 21/10, he had two great advantages to put the game away late in the fourth quarter.
Best ran 43 yards Lions backed up near their own goal line and clinging to the eight-point lead with just over four minutes to play, and he turned third-and-9 at the end of the disk to create an insurance Jason Hanson's 31-yard field goal.
On his touchdown run, the best slip center Dominic Raiola hip and in the open field. In the absence of defender around Chicago, he started pointing at the crowd of Ford Field about 30 yards to end zone.
"It was not anything new," which received a running game going, Best said. "We're still kind of doing the same thing, it just folds were slightly wider than today."
Calvin Johnson scored his ninth goal of leading the NFL in the 73-yard bomb from Matthew Stafford to revitalize struggling Lions offense in the first half.
Johnson finished with five catches for 130 yards. He ran a two-deep zone defense, which was designed to stop him on his landing, flying past safety Chris Harris and Brandon Meriweather stiff arms on the way to the end zone.
Stafford was19 of 26 passing for 219 yards and threw a 18-yard scoring pass to Brandon Pettigrew, who gave the Lions half-time lead, 14.10.
Bears have relied on running back Matt Forte early.
Coming off a career best 205-yard rushing day, Forte carried 15 times for 84 yards in the first half and finished with 116 yards rushing.
But Chicago missed a chance at scoring early Ndamukong Suh Forte stuffed on back-to-back starts after a short footage of executions are imbued with about seven minutes, and never seemed to recover.
Bears defender Jay Cutler completed 28 of 38 passing for 249 yards, but could not lead Chicago at the end zone on a desperate final drive.
As the final seconds tick clock, Ford Field record crowd of the regular season 67 861 - which helped lead to a false start penalty nine bear - shouted down, "3, 2, 1," and erupted in celebration.
With the victory, Lions have combined their NFC North rivals as the Packers only unbeaten teams in the NFL. This is their first 5-0 start since 1956.
"It was a great night for the city, and we need to get used to playing in games like this and have an atmosphere like this," Schwartz said. "The fans did their job today, and we took a sample from them. The nine failed attempts is very many, and all credit to our crowd."

Mother Nature Forces Tigers to Shuffle Rotation

Texas - Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers have gone through this procedure Matches rain before, but the solutions more difficult and the consequences more intriguing this time around.
Verlander threw a 82 pitch in his ALCS Game 1 loss at Texas on Saturday before rain ended the two delays it at night, the second consecutive series likely Cy Young AL Award winner was his first start of the short cicuited elements.
"I threw a 25 pitch," Verlander said suspended Game 1 Division Series in New York. "It's a little different."
This means that the Tigers manager Jim Leyland and his staff will have to consider whether it is reasonable and / or beneficial to bring back to Verlander Game 4 on Wednesday to rest for three days, or stick to the original plan was that he planned for Game 5 on Thursday.
In fact, the discussion started during a rain delay, Leyland said.
"We started to map things," he said after the game. "We're not trying to hide anything. We just have not figured it all."
Other complex part of the solution was that Rick Porcello, scheduled for four games, threw a 22 pitch in relief on Saturday, taking over after the game resumed for the second time.
Both the delay, the total one hour and 50 minutes, was batting with the Tigers in the fifth. Verlander is warming up in bullpen before the first renewal, but Leyland said he would not consider allowing Verlander continue after the second delay.
Ranger’s starter CJ Wilson came back after the first delay, but not after the second. He threw 96 pitches, close enough to a normal walk, there is little chance of Rangers vibrations of their scheduled four-man rotation.
As for the possibility Verlander pitch in Game 4: "I am confident that I can," he said.
And he will try to convince Leyland he should?
"I'm sure there will be," said Verlander.
Verlander went back on three days’ rest for Game 3 against the Yankees, but Leyland was a blank refusal to even consider the possibility of using it in a relief - at least two days rest - in the decisive Game 5 at rest for two days. Yankees ace CC Sabathia did just that in Game 5.
It is tempting part of this time, as long as Leyland and his staff are convinced that there is no health risk is that by pitching in Game 4, Verlander may be available for at least ease - again on three days rest - must there be a Game 7.
Doug Fister, who will start Game 3, it can be scheduled Game 7 starter Verlander with a bullpen option. Max Scherzer is to start Games 2 and 6, and Porcello might take Game 5, if Verlander returns on short rest.
One reason Leyland decided not to use Verlander was relieved against the Yankees had to have it ready for the game on Saturday. There are two days off between Game 7 ALCS and World Series Game 1, giving greater flexibility at this time.
