World Cup final: Sri Lanka win toss, bat against India: MUMBAI: Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the All-Asia Cup finals in 2011 World Wankhede Stadium here on Saturday.

Both teams are hunting their second trophy of the World Cup.

India made one change from the team that beat Pakistan in the semifinals, which the fast bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth in place of Ashish Nehra injured.

Star spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, despite niggling injuries in the thigh and knee, was declared fit to play in the finals, which will be the last game of his international career.

Sri Lanka made four changes after the semi-final against New Zealand.

Chamari Kapugedera batsman, all-rounder Thisara Perera, off-spinner Suraj Randiv seamer nuwan Kulasekera and Chamara Silva replaces the injured Angelo Mathews, Rangan Herath and Ajantha Mendis.

Randiv was only invited to cover the team on Thursday.

The draw will take place twice since none heard the call of Sangakkara first time.

Teams batting first have won seven of nine finals since the first World Cup in 1975.
