Sarah Palin's decision: 'Will I die'?

Sarah Palin says she believes her decision not to run for president was right, although it was one, she struggled with from time to time.

"I would go back and forth about whether the time has come, and if I say no opportunity here for me after running for president now is - political saying, I die?" Palin told Fox News Channel to Greta Van Susteren in an interview on Wednesday evening (video below).

Hours after the announcement of its final decision, Palin said the number of candidates still in the management turned to her.

"I look forward to working with them to maybe help them articulate their message even further, so that we can do that the best decision about whom our nominee should bring down Barack Obama," Palin said.

Palin's decision to race in 2012 was declared not on Fox, but on the show, Mark Levin radio and e-mail to its supporters. Writing on Facebook later, she said that the mission "to bring this country ... not to name, to help do that."

"I believe that at this time I can be more effective in the pivotal role to help elect other true public servants to office - from the nation's governors to congressional seats and the president," she said.

Palin told Fox, which pays her essential talent that she came to the decision after "prayerful consideration and much discussion with the family," and apologized to her supporters, who may be disappointed.

"I heard from them in the last couple of hours. But I believe that they, when they take a step back, understand why the decision was made and realize that, really, you do not need to name the difference in this country. I think I'm proof of that, "she said.

Palin was asked about the announcement one day earlier from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a nearly hourlong news conference. Its response included a minor hit.

"I wanted to know, just kind of put a marker down and say," No, I'm not running, "do not have a big press conference about it, do not make a big darn deal about it because it's not about me," said she said.

Palin did not specify which of its potential competitors are currently searching for her support. When asked how she could settle down in one of the Republicans for their support, she said that "no one perfect candidate."

"I want people to keep this in mind and not be extremely disappointed in politics. The politician is going to fail. They will decide that you do not quite agree. And you cannot just lose the hope that the ideas that reflect the policies and represent, "she said.

Her voice was impressed, although Herman Cain, who enjoyed another boomlet as the field seems to have been resolved.

"He has business acumen and experience in the private sector, knowing how to create jobs and meet the bottom line and understanding the work ethic. He pulled himself up from the bootstraps," she said. "Here is the story Americana, many of us are intrigued and impressed."
